Account
Delete your account
You can delete your Cuisy account and data at any time. The quickest way is the app itself.
In the app
- Open Cuisy and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap the settings icon in the top right.
- Tap Delete account, type DELETE and confirm.
If you cannot open the app
Enter the e-mail address registered to your Cuisy account and we will send a confirmation link to it. Opening the link lets you confirm the deletion one last time.
The e-mail may be titled "password reset": Cuisy uses Appwrite's secure e-mail link for this confirmation. The link does not change your password; it takes you to the deletion confirmation page. If you do not want to delete your account, ignore the e-mail.
If you cannot access your registered e-mail either, send an e-mail with the subject "Account deletion request" to [email protected] from the e-mail address registered to your Cuisy account. After verifying your identity we delete your account within 30 days at the latest and let you know.
What is deleted
- Your account and sessions.
- Your Kitchen CV: profile, profile photo, experience, certificates and their files.
- Photos you shared in channels (including uploads that were never sent).
- Your transfer preferences ("Open to transfer").
- Your job applications (note and the list of documents you shared).
- Your core team listings and the offers they received; your team consents in other listings.
- Your business account, if any: application, tax details, the document you uploaded, its job posts, the applications to them and the team offers it sent.
- Your block list (both directions), read receipts and device notification tokens.
- Your Cuisy Plus subscription records and Plus status (transaction IDs, period end).
- Your kitchen memberships; you are removed from every team.
- If you signed in with Apple, Cuisy's link to your Apple account is revoked.
What is anonymized
- The content of your channel messages is deleted; so the kitchen's conversation still makes sense, each one shows "This message was deleted." and its author shows as "Deleted user".
- Your name is removed from moderation reports you sent.
- The kitchen's history keeps your membership as "left", not linked to a profile.
- Past shift plans and swap requests show "Deleted user" instead of your name; your shifts from today on are removed from the plan, and your open swap requests are closed and the other person is told.
If you own a kitchen
The Executive Chef role passes to the highest-ranked active member; on a tie, the longest-standing member. If nobody else is active in the kitchen, it is archived and its team closed.
If you have a Cuisy Plus subscription
Deleting your account does not cancel your store subscription. To stop billing, cancel it separately: on iPhone, Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Apple or Google keep payment and invoice records under their own policies.
What is kept
- Moderation reports are kept for 12 months after a decision.
- Backups are kept for up to 30 days; deleted data drops out of backups within that time.
